Landed-cost calculator
Put your numbers in once and see what each unit really costs you once freight, duty and tax are in. Free, no sign-up, runs in your browser.
Your numbers
| Goods cost per unit | $20.98 |
|---|---|
| Freight + insurance per unit | $1.96 |
| Duty per unit | $1.84 |
| Import tax per unit | $4.71 |
| Other fees per unit | $0.50 |
| Landed cost per unit | $29.98 |
Duty is charged on your customs value (CIF or FOB, see above); import VAT/GST is charged on that value plus duty. Some countries use a different base, so check how your customs authority calculates it.
How to read this
- Landed cost per unit is what it costs you, delivered, before you sell anything.
- Net margin already takes out your selling costs, so it is closer to what you actually keep.
- If the margin goes red, the order does not work at that selling price. Raise the price, cut the freight, or order more.
- Always run it again after you get a real freight quote, because freight moves.
